and traded my Metagenisus album that I picked up at thrift store for $2 it's a rare lp of a local band from late 1970's Guy really wanted it as he had seen them several times and knew some of band members. traded for original pressing of RUSH a show of hands in mint shape that he wanted $40 for. -

Dad picked up an Island Records Group sampler for $1, but it's not in the database. It has some neat bands on it tho, including Nneka and Imperial Teen. -

Show this postI was conservative with my spending today and only bought one item, Johann Sebastian Bach – Helmut Walcha - Works For Organ - Vol.I. It's a whopper, though - an 8 LP box set of, as the title says, the organ works of J.S. Bach. I found it at one of my main haunts, the local Half Price Books, for a very reasonable $5.99. Not only is the box VG+, the records are all VG or VG+. If you have a Half Price Books store in your area, I strongly suggest checking them out. They have a lot of bargains, not just on records, but also books, movies, and other music formats. -

Thanks for the heads up. I will give it some thought. Since I have a good sounding copy I probably will be happy with what I have. I do not have many doubles in my collection. I tend to remove inferior copies when I find a better one when it comes to used vinyl. I have one or two things in multiple copies if there is a special pressing but mostly I get vinyl for the music so I only need one. -

My dad and I considered buying the signed B&N edition of Sleater-Kinney's No Cities to Love, but I'd already gotten the standard release. In Spades will probably be the next record we get from B&N, and I look forward to it, since I've heard of the Whigs for years but never listened to one of their albums. -

Great album--I love that version of "Powerhouse."
The funny coincidence was when I first took the record out and saw the label I thought to myself, ah, WB Vitaphone, just like the Bugs Bunny cartoons. Then to find out Powerhouse was actually one of those songs that absolutely makes several of those WB cartoon classics so great, I was even more excited.
I have a copy of Ingenuity in Sound on the way, can't wait! -

I want to get the signed copy of that that's being sold by B&N, but it's $75! If I did cough up for it, I'd try and scrape some of Kristen Schall's DNA off it to make a clone waifu of her. Which is not creepy at all.
I just checked it out, according to the reviews left on Barnes and Noble's webpage the poster it comes with is what is autographed and instead of being autographed by the cast it's just autographed by one person, the illustrator of the poster.
Not worth it to me. Seems to have a lot of poor ratings because of that. -

Manic Revelations - Pokey LaFarge
Peace Potato - Doug Tuttle. For some reason Doug chopped up some of the better selections on this release. You're having a nice time. listening to a good tune, and then-BAM! it just stops and another song starts up with no break. Then, as you're getting into that one, it too abruptly stops. Kinda jarring, and frustrating. I want more of what I like! -
